Fibroids part - 2

Fibroids usually presents with symptoms like:
- Menorrhagia, heavy blood flow during periods.
-Intermenstrual spotting.
-Dysmenorrhea,  pain during periods.
-When the fibroid exerts pressure on surrounding structures that can lead to pain abdomen.
- Sometimes large size fibroids can compress bladder and/or rectum leading to urinary disturbances, constipation etc.
If nerves get compressed that can lead to neurological abnormalities.
- Fibroids prolapsing into cervical canal can present with post coital bleeding.
 -Sub mucosal fibroids can lead to infertility and can lead to difficulty in implantation.
- Cervical fibroids can lead to infertility by obstructing the ascent of the sperms.
