Hypertension in pregnancy - Complications of preeclampsia and eclampsia

Maternal complications of preeclampsia-eclampsia :
1. Eclampsia
2. Cerebrovascular accident
3. Abruptio placenta
4. HELLP syndrome
5. Acute left ventricular failure with pulmonary edema
6. Acute renal failure
7. Microangiopathic hemolytic anaemia
8. Side effects of drug therapy etc.

Fetal complications:
1. IUD (Intra uterine death)
2. IUGR (intra uterine growth retardation)
3. Prematurity
4. Antepartum/intrapartum asphyxia
5. Side effects of antihypertensive drugs etc.
